experiencing habhab

One of the many reasons why people go to Lucban, Quezon is to taste their delightful pansit habhab (don’t want to publish English translation of habhab…cant accept it in this post hehehe).

It was a sunny 4 o’clock in the afternoon when we decided to be out in normal sighting of lucena city…we packed our things and make exit in our friend’s house.  Heading nowhere just riding in a common tricycle we reached national highway.  Making an agreement where to go we just found out that we sit ourselves in a 12 sitter jeep bound to Lucban Quezon.  There the out of the schedule tour happens….

(one of the old building you can see upon entry in the cold municiality of Lucban Quezon)

(a very symbolic landmark facing front of municipal building)

The Bahay Pamahalaan of Lucban Quezon simply stands in the middle of the municipality (correct me if im wrong)  humbly and whole heartedly serving their TAO's.

HELPING IS CERTAINLY AT THE HEART OF THE LUCBANINs.

(adding an amount of special vinegar you will savor this fantastic pansit habhab.... precio barato delicioso...hmmmm sampung piso)
it is indeed a moment eating this without  using your bare hand especially when your are sitting or even standing in the vicinity of  their old but fantastic church...

It is said that the first church was built 1595, was ruined in 1629.  The second was constructed between 1630 and 1640.  But was seriously damaged by fire in 1733.  The present church was completed in 1738 and the convent in 1743.

(was surprised seeing wind vane (?) crowning the kampanaryo ng simbahan)

inside ... you will feel the sanctity of the place... a real peace

in just hour or two...absolutely we experienced a wonderful journey.  But of course before leaving the place, following the Filipino culture is the PASALUBONG.

Few steps away from the church is a number of store selling colorful items such as bags, wallets, hats and others made of native materials...

talagang ang sarap sarap balik balikan ng simple at payapang bayan...mas masaya sa PAHIYAS FESTIVAL tuwing ika 15th ng Mayo...

TARA NA SA BAYAN NG LUCBAN.
